Training: Using a Trauma-Informed Approach in Data Collection
This training and its accompanying participant workbook are designed to support study teams to apply a trauma-informed approach to data collection in order to minimize harm to both study participants and data collectors, and to aid in their paths to recovery. Follow the below instructions in order to implement the training.
When opening the slide deck, use the Notes view to see the slides with facilitator notes content. Notes on each slide include:

2. Advance Preparation: Clear guidance on what facilitators need to prepare in advance such as identifying resource person(s) that training participants can contact for support during and after the 3-hour training and creating interactive polls using Mentimeter (or another platform).
3. Facilitator Notes: Detailed notes to guide facilitators such as step-by-step instructions for individual and group activities and plenary discussions and, in some cases, sample language to use when presenting.
