AGYW from Kenya and South Africa: The POWER demonstration project

This poster outlines results from the POWER demonstration project, including characterizing young women who initiate PrEP in Kenya and South Africa, determining PrEP persistence and patterns of use, assessing HIV incidence and drug resistance among PrEP seroconverters, and evaluating different PrEP delivery models.

AGYW’s PrEP-user Journey During an Implementation Science Study in South Africa and Kenya

Journal article appearing in PLOS ONE examining adolescent girls and young women's experience with oral PrEP in South Africa and Kenya. PrEP uptake was facilitated when offered as part of an integrated sexual reproductive health service, but hampered by low awareness, stigma and misconceptions about PrEP in the community.

A Pilot Evaluation of Expedited Partner Treatment and Partner HIV Self-testing Among Adolescent Girls and Young Women Diagnosed with Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae in Kisumu, Kenya

This article describes a pilot study among young women receiving PrEP who were diagnosed with Chlamydia trachomatis or Neisseria gonorrhoeae which found high acceptability and uptake of expedited partner treatment and partner HIV self-testing.
