Private and community pharmacies, coupled with online pharmacy/telehealth platforms, hold promise as convenient pathways to enhance access and effective use of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). To generate evidence on the feasibility and effectiveness of an online pharmacy to support PrEP and PEP initiation, continuation, and PEP-to-PrEP transition, a group of partners collaborated to design and implement this approach in urban Kenya from 2022 to 2024.

During this webinar, partners will share evidence generated, lessons learned, and recommendations based on the implementation of this innovative model. This event aims to support ministries of health and their partners as they develop strategies for HIV prevention services including ePrEP and ePEP delivery through a telehealth and online pharmacy model.

Hosted by PATH with key partners involved in the pilot project: MYDAWA, Jhpiego, Audere, the University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Kenya Medical Research Institute, and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
